For sets of maybe 3-6 reps? No more than that. I'm thinkin approximately 2x my bodyweight.

Seems to be advanced / elite status type #s that's pretty impressive

Double my weight is basically my 1 or 2rm so I'd be very happy to get to where I could do working sets w that kinda weight.

Deadlifts is the only exercise I build up to a big weight for.

4 sets - 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%

Check this page. http://www.timinvermont.com/fitness/orm.htm

You can reverse calculate what weight you should/can do for 3 to 6 reps.
Let's say for example, your one rep max is 360 lbs.
You multiply 360 x 0.906 = 326.16 or you can attempt 325 lbs. for 3 reps.
You multiply 360 x 0.881 = 317.16 or you can attempt 315 lbs. for 4 reps.
You multiply 360 x 0.856 = 308.16 or you can attempt 305 lbs. for 5 reps.
You multiple 360 x 0.831 = 299.16 or you can attempt 300 lbs for 6 reps.

It's just a guideline to figure out poundages.
