He would have signed with MMG? I mean look how much buzz Wale & Meek have, even Gunplay now.Gibbs is raw as fucc and be spittin gas. We all know that CTE has been a graveyard other than Jeezy poppin. Jeezy hasnt given Gibbs that much of a push and I would hate to see Gibbs get shelved and never drop an album.

That Baby Face Killa tape is a beast, and Gibbs never dissapoints. But I have a feelin Jeezy aint fuccin with Gibbs enough to give him the proper push. If he was on MMG, he would have been buzzin more. Gibbs may have made a mistake by signing to MMG:snoop:

Gibbs is a tax write off. If he doesnt generate enough buzz on his own, without a push, like Jeezy, he isnt going anywhere.

You talkin about Wale and Meek artist who already had names and fanbases before signing to MMG....can't say the same for Gibbs at all....look at Stalley who didn't have a name, what kinda noise he makin, stop this myth MMG makes stars...I agree they are good in showin nikkas how to make quality albums but Gibbs don't need no help with that....jeezy specialize in makin real nikka hits so Gibbs in the right place.....he ain't gon blow if that's what y'all want...jeezy don't a personality far asinterviews and shyt, but he does in his music...Gibbs don't got neither he can just spit

Probably as far as his old main man Pill, who was as big as Gibbs when they both chose to go with CTE/MMG. He's too little flash, too little pop, he's a little bit too much "more Madlib less Drake" for MMG

i don't get why evenyone keeps saying this. like where does the connection come from? he doesn't rap like them or use their style of production. i agree, he wouldn't fit in.

Signing ANYWHERE else would have furthered his career. Gibbs has some songs that could get radio play and he has songs that resonate with certain crowds. Just needed the right label to push it and he missed that window. He's going to be underground forever now. He's already 30 plus and has been in the game for a minute.:manny:

Gibbs is doing it the right way. Stay independent and keep his name popping and stay on the road. He has a fanbase and if he keeps building it he'll last longer than most of the people you're talking about. If he get's "further" on his own it's better for him in the long run.

There's people who had a good 6 month to a year run of being "popping", having radio 106 and Park etc. and we really can't even remember their names now....lol
