That’s a shame 
It happens. Trust is not a one and done act, and therefor acquiring the Trust of others is also not a one and done act. You Trust who continues to be trustworthy. Once they have shown they are not, you remove your trust of them. Blind faith in anything can be deterimental, and that includes the trust you have for those whom where there with you from the beginning.
