The Get married brehs need not apply. :birdman:

Now that we've got that out of the way, those who have been or are married how much did it cost and did you pay cash/loan? Any advice you can provide on do's/don'ts?

How long after the engagement did you have the ceremony?

I'm seeing the average wedding in the U.S. cost around $30k :childplease:, I'm thinking half that, but I have no idea the real cost of a wedding so I might be talking out my ass. I friend of mine who is Indian went back and got married in India and spent $70K :whew:.

My mom had a fairly small wedding for $20k. It depends on your bride, the number of guests and all the other shyt. I say have a small ceremony, a little reception and use the rest of your money on an awesome honeymoon.

Getting married next September, and out budget is 10k.
We're planning on having it in Mendocino at a resort across from the ocean.
The close homies and family are flying in, and I'm paying for one of my boys' flight since he'd DJing my party.

Nothing big and gaudy, just a non-religious ceremony, and reception and then we all go out and get drunk.

Yea , maybe the DR too:patrice:. But right now it's going to be in Atlanta since most of the fam is up there anyway. Atl is hella cheaper than Miami anyway.

weddings on say a friday are cheaper than on a saturday (renting a hall/church etc.). Not having unlimited drinks as well cuts back.

which is why destination weddings are :obama:, you don't have to feel bad about not inviting your 2nd cousin who you only see like once every 5 years, if they wnat to come then sure pay your flight and hotel fee.

I went to a destination wedding 2 years ago, it was great.

I'd have my destination wedding in Cuba :ahh:

The only people coming to my wedding (if I do get married) are immediate family and their s/o, my circle of friends. None of my grandma's church sisters or neighbours or old HS people I used to talk to years ago. Nah.

fukk I might say fukk the ceremony, go to city hall, get the paper and have a dinner for my fam and friends :manny:
