If there's a projection that we are headed towards a recession and there are more losses and hardships upcoming, is it a good idea to clear out my 401k, and if so, how can I do it? From what I can see I can't get shyt unless I can prove a hardship, which I can't...

I lost $2k this week, and really the shyt has been trickling downwards for a couple weeks now. Should I just ride it out and trust shyt will bounce back? Need some advice!

do not clear out your 401k. think of these bad times as a "sale" and everything is on discount prices.

eventually, the market will turn back up and the stuff you got on "sale" will be worth more then than it is now.

this is a storm you are weathering and it doesn't feel good to lose money now but trust and believe it will be worth it.

just ask the rich people spending millions buying up cheap shyt now.

I’m up about 2% in my 401k year to date. Transferred into mostly an income protected fund and international market. When the market shows signs of improvement I’ll go back to my usual target date funds.
