This is true.
I'm like 99% sure this one boy was getting abused by his mother's boyfriend. He was drinking away the pain at 13 years old. Not even funny. Back story, I got called to a domestic disturbance incident. Boy was arguing with his mother. Mother was told us, the cops, he was drunk. He got the alcohol from someone at another nearby apartment and admitted to drinking. He's intoxicated on a weekday evening. It's the weekday and he attends middle school. Well, he looked mixed, half-white and half black and the mother was black. The kid looked like he could become a model when he gets older, no homo. So, the mother was protecting the boyfriend, didn't know what her boyfriend or someone else was doing, or she knew but didn't want to ruin the relationship.
