I see a lot of pro-Black, Leftist, and "social justice" rhetoric on here and on other platforms, and even some lite-protesting, but how many are actively trying to change the miserable condition on this Earth?
Do we have any doctors working in rural areas, with Doctors Without Borders/UNICEF in third-world countries here? Any lawyers working for defense, jailhouse, or with international organizations to help bring everyone from war criminals to rapists to "justice?" Any engineers and programmers working to increase the role of the African diaspora in computer science or working to help build up the infrastructure in America's dying cities, in the third world, or in small immigrant communities? Any nurses working in heavy refugee areas, in prisons, in camps, or near high immigrant areas? And scientists trying to work to educate the younger masses on the field itself, and the possibilities that can come from it? Any working in local government to change racist, misogynistic, or xenophobic policy that only hurts instead of helping? Anyone working in agriculture to help bring real, healthy food to undeserved communities or to places where hunger is a real issue? Anyone working as a sexual assault/drug addiction counselour?
Or is it all talk on here?

I sure don't do nearly as much as I could, so I try not to complain (too much) about shyt. I do try to stay informed, and try to pass on some of that info whenever I can (including here). Not everyone is "practical", I sure damn am not, and I don't really have any skill that could easily be used for any of that. Also tbh my personal history means that I have a somewhat complicated link to Africa, i'm working on that. I participated in various local initiatives against racism/xenophobia though, in Belgium and Italy, but not (yet?) in France. Donated here and there, did some translation work, helped out on intercultural events and whatnot, but that's about it tbh
