How many miles per gallon is your car suppose to get..how much does it actually get

ok, my vehicle is suppose to get 19 city and 25 highway

Well I filled up my tank on June 13, setting my trip to zero to see how many miles I get before I have to fill up. I will have to fill up today and I figured out I fell just under 17 miles per gallon. So obviously that is not 19, however; I had the A/C running (Texas Heat) and ive heard that has an effect on your gas burning. Should I be concerned?

also normally I put premium, but this time I put the mid in, that may have an effect as well

mine actually gets 2 miles more its supposed to (city)

28 city when the manual says i should be getting about 26 i'm under the combined avg because i dont have to travel on the highway.

19 freeway. I just wanted to drive fast.

I just use premium gas on a full tank in NYC driving...I say I get about 22mpg's daily city driving.

But on highway...I've done 185 miles(roundtrip from here to PA) and only used up less than half the tank. Fukin sucks realizing how much more gas gets burned in stop and go traffic.

If you look below the mpg rating on the window sticker, it gives a range of x to x of what you car should get ie it gets 17mpg city but could range from 13 to 20.

There's a government test for fuel economy that gets the numbers but its not really realistic for most people.

I went from a Honda getting 30 in the city to an explorer getting 15

I think I'm getting about that tho. I'm gonna change my air filter soon so hopefully it'll help. They said going the speed limit helps with fuel efficiency but that's too slow for my lead foot.

My car says 29mpg highway, 20 city. Do most of my driving in the city so I'm looking at 21-22 mpg for the most part
