carry one because i don't have a reason to add more.
i'm thinking of closing the account but i only do like maybe 1-2 transaction a month that is always paid within minutes of the purchase.

2. Just got approved for a 2nd one today.

-BoA Cash Rewards mainly for gas (3%)

-Cap One QuickSilver (the one I got today) for everyday shopping and no annual fees, no foreign transaction fees. I’m really a simple guy with CCs.

I don’t care to be like some folks with 8-10 cards to maximize pts etc. That stuff just gets you to spend more to justify the points.

That Chase Sapphire Reserve tho...

Got 7. Been through dozens. I used to churn points and get bonuses.

Amex
Cap1
Citi
Chase
Bunch of store cards

I still try to churn as much as possible. Giftcard deals at grocery stores with no fees. So a $100 visa giftcard with no fees, Id buy dozens of them, then repay my card using bill pay with the cards. The sweetest deal was when the treasury had dollar coins you could buy for even money and free shipping. Churned hundreds of thousands of points before they killed that.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
:lupe: 12 including a Target card for store credit that I never used. I got a Macy’s card as well.

I only have open balances on 2 cards tho :manny: I got a Navy Fed credit card with an initial limit of $10,000. After two years I asked for an increase just to see if I could get it and they raised it to $35,000. But the most I used it for was like $200.

Credit cards can be your worse nightmare. I never use it on anything I can’t pay off within a month or two.
