I've been to many concerts. I tend to see the same people repeatedly, if they put on a good show (with different opening/co-acts).

i'm not a cheap motherfukker by any means, but concerts are a pretty pricey ordeal. even local shyt you could metro too might seem reasonable to get to but a good act is gonna set you back at least 30-60 dollars.

and the best experiences like festivals are exorbitant to say the least (like hey its a two to four day affair, for which you may need to drive a long distance then camp or get a hotel, not to mention all the alcohol and bullshyt you probably want)

with that said ima try and see nas and lauryn hill in dc in november unless it get sold out before my lazy ass buys a ticket

btw I feel the same way somewhat about sporting events, but if there's a demand for the product I can't really criticize can I for shyt being too expensive. just get my dollars up

For me it's generally all about the music and the show. I get most of the music without paying so shows are really the way I try to support my favourite artists. Being in London helps 'cuz it's generally the place they all flock to when they come to the UK. This winter I got 2 Chainz, Big Sean, Dom Kennedy all lined up. Been to Kendrick, WTT, A$AP, Wiz already this year.

Just a pain being the only person in my social circle who is up on all the dope artists though. For example Pusha T announced a show here last week. He's one of them n*ggas who would put on a dope show no doubt at an affordable price but doesn't have the mainstream appeal to convert the medium fans. The fans that hear him spit flames on Mercy or New God Flow but don't know anything else. Sh*t irks me. I ain't looking to roll dolo either.

Anyone else get this?

I'm based in the Midlands and I have only 1 person with similar taste to me music wise, so I do sometimes struggle to get to all the gigs I want to see. I'm going to that Pusha show though, £12 is a very good price. Might try and get to the 2 Chainz show now that the Joey Bada$$ show sold out, why they decided to have those 2 shows on the same night I'll never know.
