How long till prostitution is legal in the U.S.

I'm watching Elliot Spitzer show right now and it got me to thinking. This dude may have been the president of U.S. if it wasn't for escorts. Looking at the gay movement, abortion, etc. I find it curious that outside of Nevada that prostitution is illegal. I'm not advocating it. But from a "rights" perspective (particularly women's rights), it would that this would be a natural movement to fight to be legal. Thoughts?

First of all Eliot Spritzer regardless of hooker or not would never be president. A new York liberal definitely isn't winning any southern or Midwestern states. Outside of Obama a northeastern democrat hasn't been president since Kennedy and Obama was first major black candidate with chance of winning so that affected that and Bill Clinton was southern and knew how to sound conservative enough to win over those states.

Outside of hardcore libertarian candidates no candidate on either side will see any reason to champion it. It's not really heavily prosecuted like drugs except for the pimps who smuggle under age girls so it's not some coalition of horny men who probably feels cheated fighting for the cause because if they want it they can get it and know how. So it's in the illegal but not really category.

That's pretty much the answer, since the sellers of prostitution are predominately female and buyers are male, it would have to be part of a national movement or some "awaken" for females to say we don't want prostitution to be prohibited at all anymore.
