Well even before the MCU was formed.... if you can take in consideration Comic book movies been around sense some of y’all grandparents where young and alive.

And that and that was without the machine

Now with this machine behind them, easily they will outlive us

SOHH ICEY MONOPOLY
Theres more than 60 years worth of stories for hundreds of characters breh and that's talking about literal word for word adaptations not doing it's own thing like the MCU is

A character like Moon Knight could legit have at least his own trilogy think about that.

They have to reboot it only cuz of actors getting old or not being well received

TYRONE GA!
I know one thing......I'm puttin hands on Feige if they fukk up Doom.

But yeah, Comic Book movies are going on damn near 40 years in the box office starting with Supes. shyts ain't going nowhere. And with both Disney and AT&T owning the characters, those machines ain't letting them fail. It's impossible since all you gotta do is wait and reboot anyway if a movie is trash. Double your budget and you'r in the black too? shyt, these movies do that with EASE at this point.

I think the source material and it's history is why this can go for a really long time. Since the 1930s a percentage of the population has been into it. Therefore, almost every living generation now has a segment that has some interest. No other fiction has that going for it.
The only thing that stops this train is something considered consistently better by the movie going audience comes along. Gonna be hard, DC/Warner has the best shot because they have the same built in history/audience/source material.
