This was so different from "Get Lifted"(which I didnt care for alot outside of the singles), alot more grown than other stuff R&B artists were putting out back then.
It wasnt even really R&B to be honest, it was more lounge music with alot more energy & direction, and a couple of rockish tracks mixed with some acoustic piano tracks which dont really fit in any genre.
. The story told on this album about Maxine was some real shyt. A honest album about the ups and downs of a relationship
