It was but ECW was random in general towards the end. saw a promo back then when New jack was teaming with Corino and he was managed by Dawn Marie and New Jack saying something about chili sauce. Funny promo but :what:

ECW was just throwing shyt together at that point. they had some of the most random factions

Justin Credible was rolling with Jason the sexiest man alive, Francine, and I think Nicole Bass :mjpls:

and they had some racist hick dude with confederate flags on his tights teaming with EZ Money, Julio Deniro and I think Elektra

:mjpls:

Chilly Willy and Balls Mahoney

:mjpls:

CW Anderson and some random nikkas...ECW was just wild near the end

The Dusty and Corino feud came out of the cutts. That was some rare shyt.

Looking back at that shyt I always used to hate Corino when I was a kid, but dude was not bad at all.

On the rise and fall dvd styles pretty much summed up what Larry said above bout Paul E not giving a fukk no more. They just put a bunch of clips together and call it their weekly show.

motherfukkers were on life support even before they got the TNN deal

The feud was random but Corino feuding with Dusty elevated him from being a comedy heel to eventually becoming ECW World Champion. Makes me think the same thing could have happened to Santino when he was one of the final 2 in the Elimination Chamber making it hard for Daniel Bryan to retain his championship.... but now Santino is jobbing to Alberto and others so I thought wrong.

Although ECW was random with making matches in the last days, still the matches were awesome and entertaining. Yeah, Paul had to be creative with the small roster, especially if there were injuries or no-shows (due to bouncing cheques).
I did not have a problem with Tajiri and Whipreck being thrown together. Or Diamond, Swinger and Anderson. Dreamer and Raven. Nova and Chetti. Super Crazy and Kid Kash.

Yeah, ECW was notorious for throwing people together, but they have done that for a long time. I mean, TJ smith and Ulf Herman in the FBI. Nova, Richards and Blue Meanie. Simon's circus (Swinger, The prodigy, the prodigette and some dude with an umbrella). The dudley boys with Big dikk, Joel Gertner and Sign-guy dudley (let alone dances with dudley, dudley dudley, etc). Justin Credible with chastity, Nicole Bass, Jason.

New Jack teaming with Steve Corino had to do with Corino's then face turn (and winning the WHC) thus starting his fued with the Network (then Cyrus, Rhino and some other guys), while New Jack was fueding with Rhino.
So it actually made sense that they teamed together.
And the chili sauce reference had something to do with Rhino threatening New Jack to "rip off his face, ram it down his throat and made him shyt his face out" or something like that.

And hey, at least it's better than what WWE and TNA are throwing towards us these days (minus JoeNus).

If I'm not mistaken, he was still going with the "King of Old School" gimmick at that time so calling out someone from the Old School (Dusty Rhodes) makes sense.

Don't get it wrong, they was dx status to me...I fukked with them

Low key, steve corino was godly at getting heat in ecw during his run...him vs the sandman was an awesome feud

Carino was great at generating heat, especially at the beginning with the Anti-Hardcore stuff. Danny Doring and Roadkill being a Tag Team was more random than the Impact Players.
