How far would u go to save a loved one?

I'm pretty sure most people would let countless people die, if it means their child is going to be saved.

That's like the hardest decision ever 
Maybe it's easier for actual parents to pick saving their child, but I mean I don't know if I could carry the burden of all those deaths.

I don't have any kids yet but when I do I know I'd kill and or die for them. I'd execute all of china one by one if it meant saving mine.

i'd off a few people just to save my phone, so an entire civilization for the life of my kid or a loved one ain't nuffin.
on the real though i don't think i could do it. can always have another kid or relive the memories of a loved one.
...but it depends on the circumstances....and the country or state. florida or texas would get knocked off with no regrets.

It'd be ideal to follow the approach of Kantiansm(Do what benefits the most people) however, my own powers of persuasion would most likely lead me to this justification for saving my own child...
"Although I do not know what kind of man my child would become, atleast I have some control over making him a moral and ethical person. The individuals on the other side of fate's pendulum have no connection to me, I can not be sure that any of them are good people and me and my family's life are more important to MY universe of thoughts, thus my son's life is more valuable."
So I'd ultimately I'd be on a barren planet w/ me & my son, contemplating my decision for the rest of my days. It be a catch 22 either way.
