The loss versus Pusha and the loss versus Kendrick are completely different dynamics. Against Pusha, Drake was basically embarrassed. However, Pusha is not a superstar so that loss didn’t take away as much luster overall from Drake’s star. I don’t even know what you call what happened with Kendrick, but the term is significantly “bigger” than embarrassment. Kendrick is a legit superstar so it’s had a significant impact on Drake’s brand.

I have no idea how some of y’all think Drake is going to be operating on some business as usual type shyt after this kind of public execution—by a peer that’s in the same strata as him. Additionally, no one is going to care about Lupe trying to battle Kendrick . Lupe is not a star at this point. Kendrick can just ignore him, but it would also make Drake look dumb weak to try to “tag” in some help. nikka, you already don’t write your raps and now you gotta a battle tag team partner ?
