Let’s say you get cornrows or some other braids, after a week or 2, they start to itch:mjcry:

Do you rinse or wash it in the shower? The last time I got braided up I wore a shower cap and took them out after 2 weeks. But this time I got some tea tree oil and want to keep them
In longer

use leave-in conditioner.

Comb it through your hair and massage it onto your scalp thoroughly right before you get your hair braided

also make sure you're using some kind of moisturizing cream and oil combo to really seal in moisture. Ideally you should also be exfoliating your scalp with some kind of Denman brush/pad to break up the dead/dry skin that's causing the itching.

I've been able to go longer before my hair itches thus able to keep my braids in until the next braid-up session.
