How do you eat, when you do intense workouts?

So I started doing kickboxing today.

First off, I want to say it was:damn::damn:


But I feel so refreshed!! Maybe its because I literally poured out sweat. I'm thinking of maybe doing it twice a day, 4 times a week.

So my question. I was starving after the workout, and the first place I saw was a pizza spot, and got a slice. I felt so ashamed afterwards:flabbynsick:.

I know I need plenty of protein, but how should I eat? Should I start doin that eat every 3 hours thing? Should I eat big after a workout, and then just have a salad for dinner? Before the workout? Unfortunately the class doesn't come with a eating plan.

The best answer is actually what makes you feel best for your level of activity and helps you reach your goal. I'm less hungry on days I lift than rest day, not sure why. It will have to be some trial and error.

That said twice a day-four times a week if you are really stressing your system is pretty high volume. It's going to be easy to eat to much thinking you have to compensate for it.

I eat 40 grams of chicken or fish, but with that I also have veggies, and a whole bunch of junk too (pizza, chips,basically anything around ) I wouldnt suggest the last part, but the first 2 is the way to go.

Ok, I'm going to just stay with my 3 meals a day =+ 2 snacks for now, and see how I feel. If anything I'll just add an extra smoothie/protein shake.

I eat twice a day...I eat my breakfast and lunch in the morning then use the bathroom and shower and go on to work...I don't eat lunch and work out after work then I cook my dinner after I work out and then shower again

much more convenient and you get to eat 2 big satisfying meals

but make sure you eat enough calories in those meals...get your macros meal plan made by a nutritionist to know how much food you need for target weight
