Just rewatched this for the first time in forever. Adam Sandler was fukking GREAT in the lead role, but I dunno, the movie felt kind of pointless to me and sort of ends abruptly? I don't really know how to feel about it.
I enjoyed it, but i was kind of looking for some deeper point to it all, maybe I was too high, i dunno. Again, I Loved sandler in that role, he killed it.I enjoyed it. I like Serious Sandler
I get that, but sometimes you just gotta sit back and be entertained.I enjoyed it, but i was kind of looking for some deeper point to it all, maybe I was too high, i dunno. Again, I Loved sandler in that role, he killed it.

yea.Have you seen There Will Be Blood and The Master?
yea.
I need to peep The Master before Inherent vice. it's the only one of his i haven't seen other than his debut
When I first saw it I roughly had the same thoughts as you, except I thought it was funnier and generally off-beat. About a year later, after rewatching Lost Highway, I realized how wrong I was about PDL and how it's lean pacing and portrayal of a broken man looking for love was insanely relatable for me.
See if this helps
Yeah
this is cool
