Terrible album. Its like he forgot how to write a decent song. I'm not asking for a White Stripes-esque album but something that's listenable for fukks sake. yeah it's trite in my opinion. it sound so generic. probably the weakest project i've heard from him. it's not terrible music but i could take it or leave it, especially right next to 'turn blue'

I don't think Jack can work alone. He needs someone in the studio with second opinions. All his solo stuff sounds really bad and directionless. His dead weather, raconteours, and white stripes stuff are all either solid or fuego.
