How do these YouTube reviewers with no followers afford merch to review?

first 5 min of this video, he clearly stated that he’s an inspiring YouTuber and since his sub count is so low companies don’t send him anything to review so he has to buy them himself.. basically investing :yeshrug:

they buy it and take it back
some sponsors give it out to everyone
Big reviewers do this as well
A lot of it is smoke and mirrors.

Companies be giving out product to anyone for advertisement you can get in to
not true

i've worked at many companies that gave out product even pre social media era and it was always based on popularity even before they could gage that via number counts these companies kept eyes and ears open.

for example nike have been gifting influencers shoes long before the internet had spaces to showcase them. having influencers decked in their brand who moved around the city and had eyes on em...

He has an insane amount of stuff. Never seems to sell any of it either. Breh will do a video and pull out old products from every generation to compare it to.
Flossy was an EMS or something. He got a good real job too. Breh got like $10k of headphones :mindblown:
