To me they really took the next step when they joined Bullet Club. Devitt laid the groundwork for anyone to pass through and become a huge success.

I mean depending on your definition of "great matches", they were having those well before BC and never burst out of the bubble until after.

Specifically, it was the "blatantly and jokingly mimic DX" phase of BC that got them on radars.

They brought Too Sweet back, mainly in Japan, at that. Popularized it more than the original BC, no question.

Irony of this statement is one of their WWE appearances was them blatantly and jokingly mocking DX in a Miz/Morrison promo 5 years before they signed with NJPW. In hindsight it's crazy that of the four people in the ring, it would be Morrison saying he was the elite among the elite.

They're basically pro-wrestling Deadpool. :yeshrug:

At their most trollish they point out all the absurdities of pro-wrestling and that makes certain people feel a way.

At their best - they're a dope act to watch.

They also had a crazy work ethic. They were making enough noise that Cokeboy tried to slow them down in court.
The thread where the news broke about the Cease & Desist from WWE and then the 'Cease & Desist' T-Shirt dropping a day or so later is still one of my favourite thread turns I've seen on here. :mjlol:

Most people who got their kind of buzz would have signed to the WWE years ago, but they held out. That was smart on their part, because they're clever enough to get over on their own, and Vince has made it clear how he feels about people doing that.

It doesn't hurt that Meltzer loves them either.

Legit, one of the best descriptions of the Bucks I've ever read :salute:

@MightyHealthy @PlayerNinety_Nine explained it perfectly.

I'd only add that as they began getting more popular by the stuff already explained and by staying in the indys and overseas, they started to become the representation of the "fukk WWE", "wrestling is boring right now", "everything sucks" fanbase. Which made a lot people rally behind them.as "this are our guys" when guys like Punk and Danielson left the indy scene. The Young Bucks filled that void that guys like Davey Richards (:scust:) failed to do and took it to unprecedented levels.

Regardless of how you feel about the Bucks as wrestlers or as an act, they were smarter than any other indy dude in the last 20 years.

If the Bucks filled that void, the bar is on the floor.

:manny: maybe, I also think the type of fan changed a lot during the 3-4 years period were that void left by the Punk, Joe, Bryan generation stayed empty. The indy scene was right there for the taking and The Bucks were smart enough to know how to do it, aligning themselves with New Japan and later The Elite to take it to were it's now.

:ohhh:Breh...that is one hell of a way to describe the Bucks. Lets face it, its sad to say but wrestling nowadays is on that wink wink at the camera shyt. What the Bucks did was revolutionary along with dudes like Omega and even Cody. They somehow bridged the gap between old nostalgia, pop culture, and video games which are the top tier niches regarding wrestling. I don't like them fukkers but damn I gotta respect the hustle :wow:
