I don't understand, this man went from being a potential superstar to pure trash. It is disgusting. Injuries merked his career

Most disposable position in football. Shortest shelf life.

I'd rather be a db.

Yup. RB's used to have good shelf life. Emmit Smith, Barry Sanders, Thurmond Thomas, Roger Craig, etc. Those guys ran almost exclussively. Nowadays you got 2 or 3 guys getting the rock and all coming up injured within 2-3 years.

Credit the defenses getting so much tougher, more athletic, stronger, etc. Can't take that kind of beating no more.

He aint built to get that work.

He would have an average game then next game he would break a nice run/return then when it looked like he was gunna hit his stride, he would then get hurt for 5-6 games/season.

There's a reason why Barber is no longer in the league. It's because he was done.

As far as Felix, well he ate himself into this position. He was reported overweight at the beginning of training camp.

He was cool when they released him. Don't invest in someone not built to carry the reins. Keep what works till you got something better. Jones never was.

459 rushing attempts for 2.327 yards and a 5.1 average isn't bad at all.

whats crushed him is injuries and weight gain, I don't know if he's being advised to add weight or just being lazy but its not a good look for the frame he carries.

keep it light and use him where he can break out and use his top of the line speed and quickness, he reminded of faulk his first couple of seasons before he added weight.

Nah the season before they released him, he clearly lost his step. He couldn't run over anyone anymore and he didn't have the speed to even bounce it to the outside or take it the distance or whatever. He was finished and the Cowboys knew it. I do agree that they shouldn't have invested in Jones though. Never should have drafted him in the first place.
