when rich people get government help it's called "a good investment strategy"

:mindblown: these rich people have brainwashed the world. Corporate welfare eats up more of the American budget than foodstamps, yet all I here is how poor people are so bad, lazy, and bringing the country down.

Got people talmbout they are going to vote for Romney cause he's gonna stop the entitlement culture, yet he wants to give out even more money, but since he's giving it to rich people it's ok.

A lot of companies make billions from those "handouts", You think similac would be 17 dollars a can if WIC wasn't around?

Hansens natural aquired a WIC monopoly and became one of the fastest growing companies in the entire world.

Think about how rich you would be if could you just steal a few pennies from every American through some subsidy or regulation....

yup.

Think about it. If WIC will cover similac up to 15-17 dollars (i forget what it is now), then it will never go below that price ever. The people on WIC don't care about the price because they don't pay for it themselves. (well a deadbeat dad does, which sucks).

Infant milk powder has gone up in price 1000% more than the inflation rate would explain.

Same thing with those for-profit schools. There is no way they could charge those outrageous tuition prices without the government loan system and financial aid. Nobody would pay that much for a clearly inferior degree.

Sara Lee was one of the first companies to jump on that WIC approved bread scheme. Go to a grocery store in the HOOD somewhere and you will see that bread well stocked. It's a number one seller in certain markets. Sara Lee and Bimbo bakeries (a mexican company that owns all the bread companies now) are caking off that bread now. That money is going straight to Mexico.

Think about that. Our tax payer dollars are indirectly funding a Mexican global company through subsidized bread sales. Who's really benefiting from this? Grupo Bimbo who is making millions off this new WIC bread? Or the family that uses WIC for one loaf a bread per month.

And think about this... Who do you think is going to lobby for Food stamps? a social welfare advocate group? Or Grupo Bimbo and IBC who make billions from foodstamp sales on their notoriously unhealthy Snack cakes, donuts, Unhealthy breads and pastries (all covered by foodstamps). Rich people don't buy that crap. It's not in Whole Foods.

http://www2.hawaii.edu/~kent/The High Price of Infant Formula in the US.pdf

The retail price of formula is high. Significantly, the retail price
is higher where WIC is most active. Grocers and other
merchants know that WIC will cover the retail price of formula
sold through WIC vouchers, so they are motivated to push the
price up. The pattern is well documented (2). This also allows
the wholesale price to creep up. Even if these price
increments were relatively modest

Price of Similac is a joke. I'm like looking at the ingredients and the main ingredient is corn syrup solids. It's like breast milk is the way to go if you can do it. It's free.
