How come they never created a decent Rap video game?

i'm tired of shytty games like Def Jam: Vendetta and that Rapstars game (rap version of rock band)

I want a legit game that you could play a career mode with and then somehow play online

1. You start off as a youngin either making beats or freestyle on the street
2. you then start offf local in your city
3. move onto finally getting signed by a major record label
4. Make rap videos and go on tour
5. You go online and create a posse (ala G-unit, Roc-a-fella, Brick squad, etc) where you get with people similar to you
6. You get so popular that you hit jay-z status and hope to sign younger talent to make you rich

or

7. You could be more like a one hit wonder who was hot a few years but dies out, you must somehow stay relevant and the goal is to make money and stay popular for years to come to become a rap legend

Its more a SIM game idea but im not into computer games so I wish some creative young cac could hook up with some hood rap cats to create a console game one day, hopefuly within 5 years

would yall buy something like this? :manny:

not that musically inclined but what you have sounds like good idea. I think the challenge would be to make the music making part fun for every one.

they need to somehow make a simple "Fruity loops/FL Studios" concept into a video game so you can really feel like your making legit beats and shyt :youngsabo:

:childplease:

Def Jam Vendetta (at least the 1st 2) are arguable classics. I stopped reading after that.

Also some good hip-hop themed games:

Jet Grind Radio and Jet Grind Radio Future
Mark Ecko: Getting Up (underrated)
Toejam and Earl (piff)

feel free to add if I'm missing anything.

problem is if you dont know much about music....it will be tough for you to create legit beats, leading to frustration :heh:

Vendetta was the closest we ever got a No Mercy remake. Vendetta and FFNY were classics.
