Where are the big basketball, football, soccer, baseball and hockey players from Boston, NY, Philly, DC, Baltimore anymore? How come all the big time athletes come from the midwest, west and south?

My Pops Forever RIP
I guess this is like the "why don't basketball stars come from the Northeast" thread a while back. Same reasons. Being in the South has its inherent advantages in regards to weather, but really the developmental structure that's in place to produce athletes has just gone to shyt with the schools closing, lack of resources, basketball related- they're gassed up at an early age. I could easily just sum it up by saying we're just not as good as we used to be and I think we don't care as much about fixing the problems as we used to.

i think we still produce great players they just go to south, west, midwest universities because of the exposure and better competition...no more nyc basketball stars going to st johns, PA football stars going to penn state etc i mean i see NE players doing their thing in college just not in the northeast :yeshrug:
