how come reading stuff on the internet doesn't count as "reading"?

anyway, I hate reading books but I read forums and blog posts about intellectual shyt ALL day?

how come it doesn't count the same as reading off of paper? (perception wise) people look at it as wasting time​

the difference here is no one tries to challenge you intellectually when you read a blog or a forum....if they did that you wouldn't read.

Most of the shyt I read online is frivolous and most is said with no evidence to back it up.

I admit I'm not reading intellectual stuff though.

Most of the things you read on here aren't really quality writing now are they?

Most are filled with spelling, grammatical errors, emoticons and ignorance.

If you read a novel written by a 6th grader, would that do you harm or good?

every day I come across a new article or blog entry about science, technology, etc.

i love philosphy too. been reading some shyt about Stoicism.

Well then I think that is all positive reading.

If you spend time reading articles from various magizes and news sites or writing from good sources (not forums, actually authors/professors etc) then it is definitely a positive.
