How come Jay-Z hasn't made a song as good as A Queens Story?

Jay-Z is easily my second personal favorite rapper of all time but let's be honest, the guy has put out some very uninspiring music in the last 5 years. AG dropped in 07 and that was a classic, his last great effort but he hasn't made a song nearly as good as A Queens Story in years. This is what truly makes Nas superior to Jay as an MC. Just look at the picture he paints lyrically, so vividly, that acts out so cinematically. Not only is Nas killing dudes lyrically, the rhyme schemes, the multis, the transition in his flow switches, It's not even fair.

This is not a Jay hate thread by any means, he's one of the greatest rappers of all time but at this point, we're mostly living off the Jay we grew up with and the flashes of brilliance every once in a while. Nas continues to evolve as an artist.

Jays biggest strength is his charisma on the mic..he could spit some of the wackest shiit and it would still sound good.

Empire State of mind is a classic, Thank You was dope same goes for Already Home, Life is Good is leaps and bounds better than everything else Jay has put out though.
