heard a couple theories on Jesus, the most interesting being that he was a slave who led a new ideology and he sacrificed himself by requesting Judas turn him over to the roman/jewish authorities.
why? the theory goes that he knew in death (or faking his death) he'd gain more followers and ensure his mission/goal was successful.
(I personally don't know if this is true or not, but it's interesting)
