With the success of Invincible and X-Men 97 I'm a bit surprised we don't have more animated action shows for adults. Why do ya'll think that is?
Yeah I like MOTU it's a good serious show. It just seems like there could be a lot more shows like itThere was a focus on comedy animation for an older crowd going back to the Flintstones.
There have also been several attempts to do this before it’s just right place, right time, right property, right streaming service. That Voc Machina DnD cartoon and the League of Legends cartoon are recent semi hits, meanwhile Kevin Smith MOTU is also out there…. They just don’t have the right mix like Invincible and X-Men do.
A Spawn reboot too. Image has a lot of stuff they could do Sex Criminals, Radiant Black, and of course Saga.Needed one for Witchblade, the Darkness.
I guess it could worse.Invincible
X-Men 97
My Adventures with Superman
Arcane
Castlevania
Blood of Zeus
Ark
Scavengers Reign
Batman Caped Crusader coming
Primal
Unicorn Warriors Eternal
Could be better off course, but this is the best time it's ever been for adult animation.
I'm saying I think we need more. Why should Japan have all the fun?As mentioned, Netflix has a good amount of mature rated animated shows.
I'd love to see Amazon produce The Authority.
Yeah. Americans don't see animation as art or media for adults.Culturally it's still not taken seriously as it could be
