With this central heat and air we crank that shyt up anytime it gets chilly but at my last crib we had gas heaters and was paying like 400 bucks on gas and we was operating on a if it ain't no ice on the floor you better wear pants and grab a blanket policy.

I only cut mines on at night to take the chill out the air (76-79º depending on how cold it is) and it goes off after an hour or so.

I fukking hate the house cold. My roommate is a cheap fukk so he always turn the heat down. It's cool though, got the heater on full blast 24/7 in my room though
