From a business perspective giving someone who has credibility as champ and credibility outside of wrestling the belt makes financial sense period.

My only gripe is that if they were going to do it that night cm punk should have kicked out of the peoples elbow and a better finish was needed to show that cm punk's 1 year reign was a strong reign.

The other thing i would have done differently is have Rock win the belt at elimination chamber...yes of course Cena will get his win back against Rock this year that is certain...

but why not increase interest on raw and elimination chamber buys by having Rock still chasing the belt

Either way neither is a bad outcome...if i'm Punk i completely understand why I have to give up the belt its the culmination of the storyline between Rock and Cena...this storyline can end and I can turn anti-hero face again and hopefully cena gets tweaked after or during the Rock payoff feud. Now obviously there seems to be room for Ryback and Ziggler entering the main event picture and politically if i'm punk i need to be on the ball and i can't be too mad if i'm punk i got 2 clean wins over Cena and had the belt for a whole year. My status is solidified in wwe...i probably won't get a win back from Rock but thats fine this stuff is fake who gives a shyt.

It's good money wise.

But for the talent that is there, five move set and the tooth fairy will once again headline wrestlemania.

I mean... what's next for Punk? A re match at NWO and that's it. They'll probably put him in a filler match with Orton :heh:

Don't think many are mad at the reign, just the predictable journey that brought upon that reign and the rehashed feud that will comprise that reign.

No one likes watching a movie they know the end to.

I'm annoyed by it because he walks away for 10 years, comes back sporadically and is the champion out of the blue. He literally came back like two weeks ago.

This is no different than what Hogan & Flair did in the 90's/00's. But since we grew up watching Dwayne, it's acceptable. Just a double standard, imo :manny:

Sometimes wrestling fans are some of the worst pieces of trash on earth. They settle for mediocrity..actually defend it nonstop for years now if you think about it. It's quite telling. But make no mistake about it..if not for the contributions of a Dwayne Johnson, you wouldn't have a Monday Night Raw getting this kind of attention in this day and age.

I've watched Apocalypse Now at least 16 times. Knowing the outcome doesn't matter if what gets ya there is good enough. A 3 week build to end a 400 and something day title reign was underwhelming to say the least. I'm not interested in Cena/Rock II but they might pull something out of the bag to make it worthwhile.

CM Punk is not hurt. This was always the way it was going to be. LOL@"I completely understand". What's he gonna do if he doesn't? Leave Raw and it stays 2.5? Comedy.

The movie thing wasn't meant to be taking literally, but we can go that way if you`d like. It was really just meant to say we already know what happens, so no one cares.

I can watch Taker/HBK from WM25 100 times too.

What I mean when you see it the first time, nobody likes knowing the ending to something you're seeing live.

The Wrestling business is built off of making fans believe that both competitors can win the match.

Let's be real for a sec. Does Rock really need the belt at this stage as a part time attraction? Does the belt really need to be involved in a feud with Cena? No. What's hypocritical is the same ppl like "how can you guys be mad at Rock winning the belt" are probably the same ppl raging when Hogan came in and won the belt back in 02

I doubt it. It seemed like a good idea when Hogan won it after the WM 18 reaction compared to the silence that Cripple won it from Jericho.
