Homos get higher priority, what im sayin is just to get you on the housing list and help speed up the process. Other than being Asylum seeker or knockin out yutes, you goin to have to wait ages. Unless you got some medical conditions or something or don't mind moving to shyt holes.
As for hostel, from what I'm told they alright, they can keep you tied over for a while till you get somewhere sorted. Then again it depends on how much stuff you bringing with you.
My advice would be to stick it out, London way too fukkin expensive to be finding accom without proper dough behind you (and shyts goin to get a whole lot worse too in the next 2 years). Unless you don't mind living with flatmates and all that. If you want to find a job quick with decent money but it kind of a chore to do. Is being one of those sales brehs in the high street/door to door. You can make £500+ by hittin and goin over your targets. Those jobs you don't need any experience, you just got to be willing. Or if you can speak a 2nd language that is useful like Arabic, French, German or Mandrin, plenty of customer service jobs out there
