How bad is a torn labrum?

I'm hearing all kinds of recovery times

Two weeks

4 weeks in a sling than therapy

3 months

Than I'm hearing it could lead to tommy John surgery


So what's the deal how bad is this injury?

Best case is it's a partial "tear," hopefully just a strain, and with immobilization via a sling the athlete can resume normal activity within 2-3 weeks.

It's not to be fukked with, though, and it really depends on what athlete and what sport we're talking about.

Tommy John surgery?

his labrum probably isn't even really "torn" more so frayed.

Jason Smith was diagnosed with a torn labrum in December and I thought he was out for the season but he was playing again in a couple weeks. It really depends.

It's mainly a baseball injury that pitchers get

But it varies how long you're out howard will miss several games at the least

It also depends where and how bad it's torn.That's the muscle around your rotator cuff

Dwight coming off back surgery you dont want to overcompensate his back and compound more injuries.He'll probably be out 4-8 weeks and the titanic will sink

Like previously posted, it depends on the severity of the injury. Cain Velasquez tore it and was out over a year. He said he wasn't even able to run for like 6 months cuz the jarring would tear it again.

This was also the injury that kept jameer nelson out 3-4 months the year the magic went to the finals

I doubt it's serious because dwight was injured vs the clippers and played yesterday but he's gonna miss at least a few weeks
