Timothée Chalamet Is Surrounded by Drugs, Sex, & Money in ‘Hot Summer Nights’
Timothée Chalamet recently broke through the industry with his Oscar-nominated films Call Me by Your Name and Lady Bird. For his next film he stars in Hot Summer Nights, a fast-paced and edgy teen thriller that portrays Chalamet as a shy out-of-towner in Cape Cod, Massachusetts who gets caught up with a local weed dealer, played by Alex Roe, while also getting involved in a steamy romance with a local girl.
Set during the summer of 1991, Hot Summer Nights is also the directorial debut for Elijah Bynum and stars Maika Monroe, William Fichtner, Maia Mitchell, Emory Cohen, and more.
Hot Summer Nights is slated to premiere exclusively on DIRECTV first on Thursday, June 28, with its theatrical debut to follow on Friday, July 27.
