You aren’t serious about Kuminga having a higher ceiling than Poole. He can’t shoot, can’t dribble, and has no IQ. When people say you can play multiple positions, that usually means you can’t play any one particularly well, which is the case with JK.
Too undersized to play big, too unskilled to be a true wing. He will be a decent player in the league but superstar potential? absolutely not. Not even close.
I also see Wiseman getting a lot of blame, when truth be told they couldn’t stop the Nuggets from the opening tip-off. They got whatever they wanted against the starters and the bench.
kuminga can succeed with a good lineup around him. he thrived last season when get got more than 15mpg. Even when steph was out from the marcus smart injury, kuminga played well. He can play, but he gotta be in positions to succeed. That lineup he was apart of was a mess. Kuminga was doing well when he played with the starters to start the game. Kerr gotta figure out the lineups, and he will.
Kuminga and wiseman don’t work well.
The Warriors weren't able to stop the Nuggets in the 1st quarter. Dray and Wiggs were amazing on defense in the second half. They changed the game. The Warriors won the 2nd half 71-58, because Kerr kept the starters in longer than he wanted to. The problem was that all-bench unit. Im not really worried about Poole, DDV, or Jamychal. Those guys more or less have proven themselves. I am, however, worried about wiseman. Deandre jordan, who was a joke for the last 4 seasons, looked the best he's ever looked because Wiseman has zero awareness on the court. Bones hyland drew fouls on him because he's out of position constantly, which puts the warriors up against a set defense. Nobody can go downhill because he can't screen and allow the ballhandler to get separation from his "screens". He also just immediately dives to the rim, and when you dont create separation for your ballhandler, theres no room to operate. When you cant do a single, solitary thing to make the other 4 guys better, it'll hurt your lineup. he's the root of the issue. Kerr cant play the starters 48 minutes. guaranteed if that 2nd unit had a legitimate NBA center, they wouldnt be down by 18 at the half
