But when he came back to HWA after the ill-fated Puerto Rico stint, he debuted a darker Moxley character - before Ledger's Joker dropped.

As for TPTB backing him, he's one of the first generation of HHH's chosen boys from developmental. It doesn't get any more blessed than that.
