My theory is that Kyle Reese isn't actually John's father. His father is the a$$hole Sarah was dating when the movie began. So she was already (unknowingly) pregnant when she met Kyle. She just told John that Kyle Reese was his father because...well...she was in love with Kyle Reese and it was far more romantic and motivational to say daddy was a solider from the future that saved their lives rather than some random dude that hit it and quit it.

This makes the most sense. Because even if John had sent Kyle back in time, the first time the events took place John would have had to exist before Kyle

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
Sarah would have fukked her roommates boyfriend and made John that way.

The first Terminator was so brutal and raw. I remember I got some flack on here a few years ago for saying it was more of horror movie, but I still stand by that claim.

EDIT - The comments on this video. "At least he put up a fight." :mjlol: Yeah, well, so did this guy, but he got bopped too.

Yeah Terminator definitely plays like a slasher flick, another one that plays like a slasher flick but people will call you crazy is the 2nd half of Juice when Pac has the gun, both movies have the similar premise of murderer/psycho after you and slowly killing everyone around you

Terminator 1 and Terminator 2 sort of play out like Alien and Aliens in terms of genres. Obviously sci-fi but the originals have more horror and suspense elements. The sequels are more action blockbuster oriented.

James Cameron made 2 great sequels, although personally I like the original Terminator over T2. I like T2 more as a kid, but the original has better pacing, atmosphere, and writing.

Not really, it can either be a case of the grandfather paradox or alternate realities. So in essence the first John Connor that sent Kyle back in time wasn’t his son but a perpetual loop exists where John is forever sending Kyle back in time. The question just gets raised as to which came first...the chicken or the egg.

Actually makes perfect sense...

It's what makes most horror/surprise movies worse the second time.... You already know the villian

In both movies, you spend a good part of the movie just figuring out what the hell the villian is.. You really don't even see the whole thing until very late in the movie. So there is a surprise/scary element to what it is, how it works, all it's capabilities, how to defeat it.... Second time you know all this from jump. All the discovery elements and characters figuring it out, is kinda blah blah blah cause you already know everything. It's a machine, use this, don't use that, it's an alien, acid blood, alien in it's mouth, it's a predator, camo, lots of guns...

Your best bet is to just switch the genre. It's not going to be scary again so get it popping.

you shouldn’t even bother watching the rest of them if you are looking for a multi layered story. They all shyt the bed storywise,

T2 just has good action scenes for it’s time.
