No, the women are better now then they've been in the past, more focused training on youth development had got us to this current crop of talent so in another 10 years it'll be crazier, especially if they start getting foreign players involved. The WNBA will need to capitalize on this because men will likely be the main consumers.

It might not sound politically correct, but if you've got women that are highly skilled AND attractive they gonna draw attention and revenue. Liz Cambage had a damn OnlyFans, likely because that WNBA contract wasn't hitting....but then she signed to play in China for $1 million to play for 3 MONTHS:whew:

Not really. They're going to strap a rocket on their great white hope, though.

Wnba did not begin at the same time as the NBA

It's still pretty new, this is right around the same amount of time the NBA existed before they got that Magic/Bird situation that got people paying attention, that carried over from college smoke, same situation happening right now

The WNBA's Jordan is gonna come after Clark and Reese run up the numbers going back and forth in the playoffs and secure a bigger bag for these women

Naw and I’m not really into women’s basketball. Right now they have stars that the public is familiar with in part because of NIL and the exposure.

They also have interesting story lines and a little bit of Fukkery

They aren't, and this thread should have been made in The Coliseum. The star power in the women's college game is much more visible than the men's college game. Stars for the women's game this year: Caitlyn Clark, Angel Reese, Cameron Brink, Juju Watkins and Page Bueckers. The star for the men's game/tournament...Zach Edey, and really that is it in terms of stars. Zach is not a household name. Both Caitlyn and Angel are household names, as is Cameron and Page to a lesser extent.

No, i saw more people talking about the women’s game years ago before the media even arrived. It only helps that they stay in school for the full 4-5 years so others have time to catch on before they’re gone.
Yup, it's because the women stay 3-4 years. College basketball is overly reliant on freshmen to be the stars, because the players with the most talent don't usually stay more than 2 years max. So when there is a lapse in freshmen talent, the men's game isn't as visible or talked about. Men's game can't build marketable stars because of this.
