Changing the pace a little bit here away from the typical news-related convos towards a muddier topic.
In my opinion, the country is marching towards a potential slow-moving civil war and/or dictatorship, but it fells like there's enough runway to right the ship.
The question is how do we tackle the views of people whose views are objectively misguided?
On the one hand, I think that engaging with low-information perspectives are more likely to give them a platform, while OTOH, ignoring them completely allows them to fall into deeper echo chambers.
To use TLR as an example, I have blocked +150 people which has made my personal experience better but that doesn't mean that they aren't spewing nonsense to the rest of the board because I close my ears
TL;DR: How do we interact w/ the 'TLR' people of the world in a way that makes for an overall better community as opposed to a glib sense of self-righteousness, while also avoiding normalizing more radical views by letting them cook in the community?
