Bret the shytman Mark had a hell of a fall off :whew:

Went from working with the GOAT in the top program to being in meaningless mid card feuds

I used to post on another wrestling forum, back in the day, and one of the posters got to meet Hitman back in 2005 and asked him about this promo. Apparently, Bret really liked El Dandy and Psychosis's work and he thought that he'd name drop them. :ehh:
Couldn't tell that from this promo. Seemed more like he was ripping on them to me.

On another note, anyone who hasn't listened to bischoff's new podcast this weeks was about Bret Hart. Great listen.

I miss the Gene style promo were you could lead a guy and let him Express himself and get a true feel for his character/ charisma
They have lots of interviewers now, probably too many, but these days they'll open with one statement or question and then don't say another word and let the wrestler do all the talking. They don't even sell the promo, everytime the wrestler walks away they look at the camera and go :yeshrug:

Long gone are the days of having an actual interview and giving the wrestlers someone to play off of. Mean Gene knew the storylinesand promo ability of the person he was working with and was instrumental in keeping things on track and interesting. All we have now are mannequins holding a microphone.
