Bret Hart to WCW was the hottest thing in the world and 0 came of it. Imagine Ric Flair jumping to WWF in 91' off the most controversial real life angle in wrestling history. That's what WCW was working with except the WWF had wherewithal to actually put thought into making it seem like a big deal. WWF had the Big Gold on tv while Heenan gushed over Flair as the real world champ. Bret gets brought in to give his heat to an Eric Bischoff match as a referee for 4th string NWO feud. They made Bret coming in about everybody but Bret. Biggest jag of a storyline outside of the Invasion.

Forever a Bret fan. Dude was one of the first 3 wrestlers I remember seeing (along with Taker and Hoegan). 
Bret in WCW was very bizarre to young StarClout (I understood what happened in Montreal cause I had cousins who were lucky enough to have their own computer with internet access and had the wrestling news) and the Flair analogy @Hey_zeus used is the greatest way to describe it
What is considered his best WCW moment aka the Steel Plate segment (Owen Hart Tribute Match had Benoit so technically doesn’t exist to WWE) is immortalized by WWE/Mattel even today with merchandise

Bret is one of the only people I stan in wrestling that hasn’t disappointed me (turning out to be MAGA or a racist piece of shyt). I know I lot of people love to say he’s bitter but he’s just keeping it 100. They been asking him the same questions for 20 years, and he’s never deviated from his disgust about the Screwjob or WCW.
