And who can forget the similar arguments when Republicans in the 30s were calling Social Security communist and how it would ruin freedom in the country and would not have any positives....

Hmm..........this sounds very similar. I wonder what the critique of ObamaCare in 30 years will be when people magically love it.

SS limits freedom? Medicare is disastrous?

Do you know the US government was a lender country before Reagan took office? Reagan then slashed taxes and made major increases in defense spending and somehow it's medicare and SS that are the root of the debt problem.

the funny thing is there's a large segment of people who pretty much think the whole new deal needs to be revoked. let all these rah rah get the government off my back dudes live in a 19th century environment for a bit and we'll see how much they like it
