think about it for sec.
Hip hop is a very masculine art form.(most rappers are male, the few females are usually studs)
The subject matter is very real, gritty and honest.
It's routed in a very poor street sort of urban environment
Pop music( what y'all erroneously keep calling r&b )
Is a feminine art form most singers are falsetto or female.
Subject matter is often romantic or sexual
It's routed in dIsco dance club culture.
Country music is often more masculine, a lot country singers are deep baritones or males. The ones that aren't get hated on as too pop/ crossover
The subject matter is very blue collar
It's routed in a poor although country environment
Seems like country and rap are far more compatible from a musical integrity standpoint.
Problem is the audiences hate each other so business man would probably avoid trying to push this different direction but my point still stands.
