Paul Heyman recently spoke with the folks from Digital Spy to promote next weekend's WrestleMania 34 pay-per-view in New Orleans, Louisiana. Featured below are some of the highlights.

On if he thinks there is anything that could bring CM Punk back to WWE: "I don't think Phil Brooks thinks about WWE at all anymore. I would hope that he doesn't. I would hope that he is of the focused mindset in propelling himself into the ranks of UFC. I don't think it's a matter of positioning or money or spotlight anymore. I think it's a matter of his dream is to become a successful UFC fighter and he doesn't even have a thought regarding WWE, at least I would hope that he doesn't. Because I don't know how it would be considered productive for him to do so."

On if he would welcome Hulk Hogan back to WWE: "I'm not a ticket buyer. Nor am I part of the target demographic that is catered to to subscribe to the WWE Network. So whether or not I want Hulk Hogan back in WWE is irrelevant. It's whether the audience and the advertisers and the sponsors and the chairman of the board want Hulk Hogan back in WWE. And when those stars align Hulk Hogan will be back and until then he won't. My opinion on Hulk Hogan coming back to WWE, whether pro or con, is irrelevant and so is everyone else's besides the audience itself, the sponsors themselves and the chairman himself."

On why Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns should headline over AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura at WrestleMania 34: "Brock Lesnar versus Roman Reigns is the main event of this year's WrestleMania because there's more interest in this match than there is in any other. Period. Exclamation point. That's the match that sells this show. All these other matches are very intriguing. Each one of them is worthy of insight and preview and speculation. But only one can be the true main event. Only one can be the match that's listed in the history books as: This was the most important. This drew the attention, this is what we banked on. And on Sunday, April 8, 2018, WrestleMania 34 we are banking on Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns in the main event.

"That's no disrespect to anyone else who plays a vital role on this show. It really isn't. AJ Styles versus Nakamura is a fascinating match-up. Ronda Rousey in her debut teaming with a fellow Olympian Kurt Angle against the First Couple of the WWE Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Fascinating match-up on so many different levels. John Cena having called out The Undertaker is of a historic nature that can't be oversold. And again, what a fantastic thing to speculate about. But there's only one true main event. And that main event happens to be Brock Lesnar versus Roman Reigns. If someone else in this time period before WrestleMania can create such interest that the show's fortune rides on them, then they will replace Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar in the main event of WrestleMania. But until that happens I think we have enough on our side of the argument to continue the public interest and the public intrigue in this match."

As noted, Paul Heyman recently spoke with the folks at Digital Spy to promote next week's WrestleMania 34 pay-per-view.

During the interview, Heyman spoke about finding out that he will be the man to induct Bill Goldberg into the WWE Hall Of Fame at the induction ceremony scheduled for the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana next week.

“I am inducting Goldberg because that was Bill Goldberg’s specific request to WWE," said Heyman. "Bill Goldberg personally requested that I induct him into the Hall of Fame. I have such respect for Goldberg as so far the one person who has truly taken the fight to Brock Lesnar in WWE. I also got a chance to witness him behind the scenes as a man, a husband, a father and I have the utmost respect for him as a human being and am honored to be the one to encapsulate this moment for him and be the one to formally induct him into the Hall of Fame."

Heyman continued, “I also understand his WCW audience’s passion that somebody from WCW be the one that inducts Bill into the Hall of Fame, but this was his wish and I would suggest that it is much a personal wish as it is a professional wish. And there is an entire audience of WWE fans that will tell you that Goldberg’s match with Lesnar at Survivor Series, which Bill won in a minute and a half, was the crowning moment of Bill Goldberg’s career.”

at first I thought this was just a ridiculous pairing, turns out that goldberg requested it :dead:
Cody Rhodes recently spoke with Gambit for an interview that touched on topics such as him bleaching his hair blond, his thoughts on Kenny Omega, The JBL and Cole Show and more. Featured below are some of the highlights.

On the old JBL & Cole Show YouTube series: "It's funny -- I loved The JBL and Cole Show, and JBL kind of at one point just let me and Wade [Barrett] take over. We had a production meeting, and we ended up with on-air characters coming out of it. 'Bad News' Barrett was 100% from The JBL and Cole Show. It makes me laugh when I think of that — I'm glad you said that, because I think of that as a nice little credential, a nice little piece of equity in my career When I mention that to [The Young Bucks'] Matt and Nick, they don't even think I'm telling them the truth. They pretend that The JBL and Cole Show and Z! True Long Island Story, Zack Ryder's very successful YouTube show ... if you ask the Bucks, the very first YouTube show that ever existed was Being the Elite. And they're being funny, but I know in my mind that it did help a lot. It helped me open up to, hey, this isn't Wrestling 101 anymore. This is a different medium, and you can portray yourself differently and see if it works."

On bleaching his hair blond: "Well, I never thought much of it. I think I was always so resistant to coloring my hair because you know, when my dad was still alive, it's so easy for a second or third generation wrestler to just copy their predecessor. The hardest thing you can do is try and carve out your own legacy. I mean, hats off to [Cody's brother] Dustin. When people online say, 'Oh, he should be Dustin,' I can tell you, he doesn't want to be Dustin. For one night, yes. In honor of Pop, of course. But his career he carved out is Goldust. That's his identity. So I always steered away from the blond hair because you know -- if I go out there and do a bionic elbow, all it means is Dusty is over, not me. But you know, there are exceptions to everything in wrestling. There's no law. So, I did it. I haven't felt anything from it, but people seem to really like it. Marty told me the other day, he said 'Man, this change in your hair has changed everything.' I just laughed. He decided to double down on it, said 'Yeah, I looked at some pictures of you before, and you were kind of just boring.' I don't know why that is, but now I'm pretty hell-bent on keeping it, for a while at least."

On Kenny Omega dressing up as Bury The Bear and attacking him: "Well I think Kenny— again, if you ask people today kind of who is the best wrestler in the world, especially wrestling fans, they're very likely going to tell you you either Kenny Omega or [Kazuchika] Okada. I think Kenny is carving out a reputation as an unbelievable wrestler. But I've said this before — that's easy to do when you barely ever wrestle, when you pretty much take a month off, do one match, take another month off. I work full-time, whether it's on ALL IN, my own show, whether it's Ring of Honor, whether it's New Japan, I make every show. Whereas Kenny, I was actually surprised by him even coming to Vegas. I think Kenny is now aware he can't just be an underground band that everybody says is really good but they don't know any of the names of the songs. He actually is going to have to deliver at the highest stage with the entire wrestling world in one spot, that being New Orleans. I think he sees that. As for ruining Bury the Drug-Free Bear ... Hey, there goes $1,200 on a bear suit. Thing is, there's another mascot who I'm bringing into the fold. He's all business and I'm very excited. He'll be appearing on Ring of Honor TV very soon, and he'll also be at Supercard of Honor."
