Hey yall, just starting to make beats, how should I go about this!

Wassup yall, just started playing with fl studio watching tutorials and all that, its cool, seeing some progress but its very difficult (as it should be) I'm wondering what knowledge and links are essential for a dude like me, trying to make hip hop beats and all that?

just try to find your sound and then build from that

also watch this, it helped me a bunch. I've only been fukking with FL heavy from 3 months and already seeing great strides, just keep at it.

make a bunch of wack sh*t. seriously...just push buttons, loop samples whatever. even if it sucks...throw together whatever sounds you have in your head and complete a few tracks. 1-2 minutes...just to get that feeling of the workflow. it helps you learn what works and what doesn't and helps you develop your sound.

start using the all the filters and vst's to get an idea of how to use them, fl studio is quite simple after awhile, one of the easier programs. More importantly is study a producer that you like and try to recreate their beats, you'll learn the most just doing that.
