The thought just occurred to me that we may have gone through 2018 without a single pay per view where their oldest and most valued championship belt being defended in the main event of a pay per view. I think the same applies for 2017 as well. I know AJ didn’t get to close out a single event while he was champ, even though Roman vs Joe or Roman vs jinder did once and Seth vs Dolph did too :martin:. Have we really gone almost 3 years since that title closed a show now? In the same time span, how many times has the hideous fruit roll up belt been competed over last?

Just because the WWE is the oldest doesn't mean it's most valued.

Clearly the "most valued" to WWE right now is/are the women's titles. That is subject to change in the future, but right now, they are leaning all of their chips (and have been) on the women's "revolution" or "evolution", signing and creating Ronda Rousey, getting behind Becky Lynch, continuously investing their time in Charlotte, etc.

Nothing in WWE has the attention quite like the women's title, and that match closed their last Pay Per View :manny:
