The country literally had a shift in voter tastes over a people most don't even interact with. If 10 million people vote to cast out trans folk, you would be lucky if 20k of them ever met one. Wildest shyt I have ever seen.

I'm in a city in California and even here, I only come across trans people on this site. You literally have to go out of your way to interact and/or think about them. There's a gay bar they frequent that's near a few dive bars but nothing too egregious where you see em outside of that. Even then they kinda just keep to themselves. shyt is weird how it's on these dudes mental. I think they consume too much right wing media because they highlight them like they are taking over the country smh
I have worked with quite a few and even know one now. Thing is, there is a very specific strip of Chicago where you can find them and honestly, outside of outliers, they just blend in and do their thing. Some you would never guess is trans.
The trans panic is annoying as fukk because this is *literally* the playbook. A couple years ago it was CRT and DEI, circled around to gay people again for a bit but both of those weren't strong in ginning up hate as they used to be, but the Trans pivot has been incredibly effective.
I still see cats talmbout Kamala lost due to backing trans folks when she literally does not mention them unless asked. And that commercial used an out of text interview from a few years ago to talk about today. Go into some circles to chop it up about politics and "the gay shyt" always seems to be a top contender. Mind-blowing how consistently effective LGBTQ hate is. In a couple threads, matter of fact, expressing bewilderment at Trans hate led people to ask me do I support men in women's sports
like is this the only thing people are worried about? Outlier situations?
