This has worked ok for me so I'm sharing. On my workout days, which are also my carb load days (for those not in the know carb load days are days you can eat extra carb grams) I've been able to substitute a lot of my regular carbs like rice or pasta with wine and beer and it's fine. I don't see any fat gain, my muscle composition doesn't get affected. What I do is after my hard workouts I'll get about 50 grams of good carbs like rice, pasta, etc. and then I drink whatever up to 3 glasses of wine to wind down the night. Next day hit the mirror and still look .
The thing is if you are planning to drink keep your food carbs at around 50 grams and spend all your other carbs for the alcohol. And I try not to drink on non workout days or even eat too much carbs but during workout days after I relax with some alcohol and it still works for me so give it a try. fukk all the strict regime shyt that makes your life a chore.
