- Helped train Ali from the mid 70’s on
- Said the after Ali lost to Holmes there was a long line of folks outside his hotel room waiting on their money
- His story about how they helped discover Larry Holmes who was working at some supermarket out in PA and they brought him up to their camp to work with Ali. Years later after Larry was champ, Bundini cussed Larry out saying “we made you” to the point that Larry’s bodyguards were about to pounce on him unitl Larry stopped them.
- Was helping to find sparring partners to Tommy Hearns before his first fight with Sugar Ray. Folks were scared as fukk to spar with Tommy and he had to convince a guy named Jeff Stotlemeyer to spar vs Tommy saying “you know they paid you and Tommy got all of those gangsters from Detroit.” A week later he saw Jeff and Jeff says Tommy isnt hitting the same. He went to Tommy’s camp and said he realized that Emmanuel Stewart over trained him and Tommy left his fight in the gym. He said Tommy also couldnt make weight so they brought in dikk Gregory who pumped him with all of this natural stuff that made Tommy lose enough weight to make the fight.
- Was the trainer for the stars training Jay, Beyonce, Alliyah, Heavy D, Dame, Seal (who he said was ridiculously strong for no reason), Left Eye, T-Boz, Mary, Puff, etc.
- He stopped training Jay and Dame when they were in the middle of their split because he wanted to be neutral.
- While training some boxer in the 70s, Roberto Duran pulled him and the boxer he was training to the side and showed him the trick to throwing a body punch. He said that trick practically carried him as a trainer for the rest of his career.
- He said how New York fighters were scared as fukk when they had to go down to Philly to spar with Philly fighters.
- Was in Aaron Pryor’s camp. Aaron would fight three sparring partners when training.
- His son created HBO at night. Was in the ring the night of the Golata vs. Bowe brawl. He said the Poles outnumbered black dudes two to one. But the black dudes were nothing but Brownsville AND DC (which I didnt know) niqqas from Bowes camp. The rest was history.
Dude has a gang of stories.
